It is great to read that the two of you are still keeping jazz alive in Philadelphia. It's been more than forty-five years since I last saw the two of you at a little jazz spot about two doors down from the old Uptown Theatre. It was a basement type club, a real nice spot to lounge and just enjoy the great music you and Mr. C. were putting out. Around that time, I was trying to learn to play flute, and actually brought it with me to the club hoping to maybe "Sit In"; you guys were too tough, and I was to scared to ask. Consequently, I just keep my little old ax in it's case, ordered me a scotch and jammed along with everybody else.

You are the greatest Jazz organist that I have ever had the privilege of hearing and watching your hands carress the keys is a sight to behold. You are the epitome of what entertainment is all about. Hi Trudy,

I Once heard a song called "Spanish Flea" that you played. I heard it on a album called "Swingin' Cheese". Do you have that song on one of your albums? I can't find it anywhere.

A long overdue compliment: Pat Martino's El Hombre is one of my favorite guitar albums even 40 years (hard to believe!) after it came out, I never get tired of listening to it, in large part because of your beautifully swinging organ playing. Thanks for years of wonderful listening

Trudy, I want to begin by expressing how much both "Trudy Pitts & Mr C." affected me Thursday night at Harold O. Davis church. Although hearing about you and periodically hearing the two of you on WRTI, witnessing your performance first hand has left a definite impression and new admiration for your gift. The Hammond Organ has for many years been a standard in the African-American church as well as the Jazz Organ community, and I've seen and heard many play the instrument, but your approach to the organ is one I've never heard. I appreciate your style and grace and thank you for sharing your music ability and expression. I hope one day sit with you on an organ to share in the musical world of Trudy Pitts.

Dear Ms. Pitts, I was helping out at your benefit concert for Jazz Bridge and the Hospice of Philadelphia yesterday - sheer beauty and inspiration! I went home singing "Make Someone Happy" and really raised the eyebrows of my 17 year old son. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and your soul with us.
This coming January my husband and I will be married 24 years, with 3 wonderful sons. Before he got so caught up in his work (new drug research), my husband used to play a lot of piano including jazz, one thing that made me fall in love with him. From time to time he expresses the wish to brush off the keys and take a few lessons again. Do you ever give lessons? I wish I could gift him a lesson or two with you. I do the grief work for the Hospice of Philadelphia and it would do my heart good too. By the way I was sitting in the front row by the door yesterday and met you briefly before the concert. Thanks again!

Hi Trudy,
It is so good to see this website and know I can keep up with your whereabouts. I've enjoyed your playing for years, but the Mother's Day performance of Stolen Moments with Marian McPartland a few years back is one of the music listening highlights of my life. Thank you and keep the beautiful music coming.

Hi Mr. C and Trudy,

I didn't know Mr. C produced "Me, Myself & I". I'm going out to buy it today. I was pondering whether to buy that one or the second CD, but I'm sold. I let you know what I think after I hear the entire album. The snippets just are not enough.

I work in customer service for a cell phone company and met Mr. C through a phone call he made to my company. Before that, I had never heard of either him or Trudy Pitts, but he modestly suggested I might want to check out this web site as he thought his wife was a genius on piano and organ.

Since my husband is a professional keyboardist and I majored in piano and organ in college, I was expecting an amateur web site, but now I am thoroughly impressed. You have a beautiful web site and the music clips blew me away. I can't wait to hear more of your music!

Mr. C, it was a privilege to have met you, even if it was only for a few minutes over the phone. I hope someday to have an opportunity to meet you and your beautiful, extremely talented wife in person!

Dear Miss Pitts:
You moved me to tears Friday September 15th upon the Dobson Pipe Organ. Im a young black woman that is classically trained on the pipe organ, but am so interested in learning the art of playing jazz upon the Pipe Organ. Your skills really are so appreciated because today, we that play the pipe organ are so hungry for God to bless us with ways to expose people to the pipe organ using non-traditional ways.

It was such a blessing to hear you really play the Kimmel Center Organ! i hope to hear more.

Do you teach private Organ lessons?
